Why I am not in the Labour Party - Lesson One

If any of my Labour pals were still wondering why I despair at their party, this story makes it perfectly clear. When, oh when, will we have a government with the integrity to put their money where their mouths are rather than talking the talk and then being totally unable to walk the walk???? There are moments when I despair, this is one of them.

Interesting that you feel that you need to explain why you still aren't in the Labour Party. Excuses, excuses...

Not excuses, as I often say, if all I was interested in was power, why would I be a Lib Dem? However, having spent most of my life being challenged by Labour Party pals (and you can't be in the Trade Union movement without having Labour Party pals)about why, given my views, I would not be more at home with them - I relish the opportunities (such as Iraq, 90 day detention, right to protest, marketisation of public services) to point out why I would not be comfortable hitching my wagon to them!
