Well me dearies, that's it then - all over for another...........decade?
It has been a bit of a lack lustre campaign it has to be said. No real ideological battles. The only bit of drama being the Calamity Clegg incident which thankfully for the party blew over very quickly. So now we wait to see whether it is the expected or the shock result. Over on Mike Smithson's Political Betting, his punters are voting 3-1 in favour of a Clegg victory, but we will all have to continue to hold our breath until the official announcement on Tuesday.

Hi Linda
I think it started off a bit lacklustre, perhaps because we only had 2 candidates. But I've got more interested as time went on..... partly because the outcome is still uncertain.....
I think quite a few Labour Party members would envy us for having an election at all.
Maybe we could talk more about Gaza?

Chris, yes, maybe I was being a bit harsh - but I do like a bit of excitement!
CSB - yes, i would love to. I am on jury service until Christmas but when I return to work after Christmas maybe we can arrange to meet up after work one evening?
Linda - couldn't help noticing your reply to Chris - don't we all?

Well, it has to be said, some people avoid excitement like the plaque! Thankfully not many like that in our party........
well there was also that unpleasant business of the anonymous blogger who was smearing Chris. I am a Nick supporter and I was dreading it turning out to be an over-zealous Cleggie. So it was a relief to discover that it looks like it was all a Labour dirty trick. The Chris Paul blog Labour of Love (http://chrispaul-labouroflove.blogspot.com
) was promoting it and had a link to it. Then Chris Huhne apparently took action and phoned him demanding he take down the link - which he did! So that's that. And there should be no more suspicion from Chris supporters that it was a smear by Nick supporters.
